Statement of Faith
1. We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Gen. 1:1-2, Gen.1:26 John 1:1)
2. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the HolySpirit, born to the Virgin Mary, and is fully God and fully man and is the mediator between God and man. (Isa.7:14, Matt.1:18, John 10:38, 1 Tim.2:5).
3. We believe in the Scriptures, Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God, as inerrant in the original writings, and is our authority in decisions of faith and life. (1 Tim.3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
4. We believe man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but spiritual death, which is separation from God. (Gen. 1,2,3 Rom.3:10 Rom.3:23 Rom.5:12)
5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe in Him receive forgiveness of all sin on the basis of His shed blood and therefore have eternal life. (Rom. 6:23, Eph. 2:8-9. 1 Peter 1:18-19, 2:24)
6. We believe that baptism is by immersion of the believer in water in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This is the picture of the believer’s death burial and resurrection in Christ to a new life in Him. (Matt. 28:19-20, Acts 2:37-38, Rom.6:1-11)
7. We believe in the personal and visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ to the earth to establish His Kingdom. (Acts 1:10-11 Rev. 19:11-16)
8. We believe that the Lord's Supper is a time of remembrance and reflection on the Lord’s sacrifice for us. We call this Communion. (Matt. 26:26-28, Luke 22:19-20 Mark 14:22- 24).
9. We believe and accept the Lord Jesus Christ by faith and are born again of the Holy Spirit and become children of God. We are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and baptized by Him into the spiritual body of Christ which He is the head of His Church.
10. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord and His ascension into Heaven and at present represents believers before God in Heaven. (Luke 24:33-34 John 20:19-28 Acts 1:9-11, 1 John 2:1)
11. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and lost. The saved shall receive rewards and dwell with Christ for all eternity. The lost shall be cast into eternal Hell.
12. "God created man male and female (Genesis 1:27-28, Genesis 5:2). We believe the Bible teaches marriage is between one man and one woman. Therefore, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they become one flesh (Matthew 19:4-6, Mark 10:6-9, Genesis 2:24)."
